What does a fractional CTO do?
The same job as a full-time CTO, part of the time: technology and architecture decisions, the product roadmap, guiding the developers, reviewing code and costs, and speaking for the technology with partners and investors.
Part-time CTO, outsourced CTO, fractional CTO: what's the difference?
Mostly the name. All three mean a senior technical leader who works with your company part of the time instead of full time. You get the experience of a CTO without the salary of one.
Fractional CTO or a development agency?
An agency sells you development hours. A fractional CTO is on your side of the table: deciding what should be built, how, and by whom, and making sure it gets built well. If you already work with an agency, I can guide and review their work.
How do you charge?
By the hour, by project, per review or per sprint, whatever fits your stage. After the first call you get a clear scope and price before any work starts.
Can you work with my current developers?
Yes. I can lead your team, review their work and help them decide, or bring in developers I trust if you need more hands.
